Peek inside that Gamma World 4E Box

Go on. You know you want to. You're curious like all the rest. Yeah, it's 4E.

But still....

I'm not posting pics here because Robot Viking is the superspy in this story.

  1. Hmmm... Doesn't look like my preferred style of RPG, but it would be cool if it got more people into science fantasy gaming!

  2. Of all the recent 4E forrays into the past, this one has been getting the most attention (or so it seems) from the OSR crowd. Probably because GW is so beloved, but I think there's a real curiosity to see if this might actually "work" for 4E. I've been thinking lately that 4E might be suited for superhero-type game and GW could be an entry into that.

Plus, I'm always interested in boxes and what could be in them!

  3. I agree with you Jay. My limited experience with the 4E system suggests that it could create a style of Gamma World game I'd fine acceptable, whereas for fantasy its jsut not my cup of tea.

  4. Eh...like all new games I'll give it a try if I can find someone who has it but I'm not rushing out to get one.

Gamma World might function well using the 4E system, better than D&D does even, but I'm simply not in need of a new game in that genre. I mean, I only have three or four editions of Gamma World, two of Metamorphosis Alpha, Mutant Future, Encounter Critical and the Japanese TRPG Crash World.
